Celeste F. Adorno, of Counsel


Celeste Adorno grew up in Osceola County and is a graduate of the University of Florida - College of Law, where she received her Juris Doctorate in 1987. Celeste has focused her law career on Eminent Domain, starting with her involvement with the City of Gainesville Downtown Redevelopment Agency and the Gainesville Regional Utilities where she served as Assistant City Attorney and acquired parcels in fee simple and easements for utilities. Prior to founding Adorno Law Firm, Celeste served as the Eminent Domain Attorney for Leon County, where she led the Miccosukee Road Widening Project, the Orange Avenue Road Widening Project, the Lake Munson Restoration Project, the Buck Lake Road Improvement Project, and worked on the Joint Participation Agreement (JPA) with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) on the Mahan Road Acquisition Project and on the Bannerman/Bradfordville Road realignment JPA. All the above projects were exclusively managed by Ms. Adorno.

Celeste has extensive experience working with local public agencies where she specifically dealt with Eminent Domain and right of way acquisitions for the condemning authority. These agencies include but are not limited to the following: Tohopekaliga Water Authority, Osceola County, City of Gainesville, Gainesville Regional Utilities, Leon County, City of Keystone Heights; City of Tallahassee, City of Tampa, South Walton Utilities, Panama City Beach Community Redevelopment Authority (CRA), the Panama City – Bay County Airport and Industrial District, and Blueprint 2000 Intergovernmental Agency of Leon County and the City of Tallahassee.

Ms. Adorno also worked with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) on numerous projects throughout the state of Florida while at the Attorney General’s Office and then in house with FDOT. She is familiar with FDOT policies and procedures. Celeste has also represented landowner's against condemning authorities and handled numerous Eminent Domain cases throughout the State of Florida from the Florida Keys to Pensacola.
