FDOT is conducting a study to improve approximately seven miles of the SR 826/Palmetto Expressway to include the implementation of “dynamically priced” express lanes, access and ramp connections to the express lanes, interchange improvements, and intersection improvements. A recommended alternative has been identified and a public hearing was held on November 7, 2019. Depictions of the preferred route are provided below for reference.

Appraisals of impacted properties are set to begin in 2023.
