Project Description:

The Central Florida Expressway Authority (CFX) is planning the Poinciana Parkway Extension to CR 532 at the Osceola/Polk County line. CFX approved the recommended route on October 10, 2019. The project is a 3-mile limited access roadway and impacts dozens of property owners. CFX held a virtual board meeting on June 11, 2020. During this meeting, CFX announced it would take on $1.2 billion dollars’ worth of additional debt in order to proceed with this and other projects.

The Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise (FTE), is conducting a PD&E study for the second phase which is a new stretch of roadway that will extend about four miles from Osceola-Polk County Line Road/County Road (CR) 532 to State Road (SR) 429 in Osceola County, Florida.
